Spiritual Path

Query: Spiritual Path... People say they like to go to temples, worship God in sorrow more than when they are happy. There is doha for it as well, dukh main sumiran sab karey, sukh main karey na koi... When I am at peace and less worrisome I feel like worshipping God but when I am sick of this world and tired of its so called pleasures and sorrows or when I have worldly worries I don't feel like worshipping, remembering God. If I do then it is that I pull myself for it.

Till today I am unable to decide. Am I a seeker ? what i am really seeking? What really is spiritual path? What path should I tread?

Vijay Kumar:
Before dwelling further on the maze of queries within you... imagine for once... you do not exist! As if you were born today? What then would be your goal of life? Most human beings on Mother Earth never carry a goal in life... their life is like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean! Almost 99% people world over do not carry a goal in life... what use being a human?

Having a goal in life is of utmost importance. It is like journey half covered! Form a goal in life... something dear to your heart! Our goal in life must never be dictated by others... be they our parents, brothers or sisters... even our relatives, nears and dears! Listening to the promptings of our soul atman... the voice of our soul atman that seems to come from within our heart we must decide the goal of life!

Our goal of life never belongs to us. The journey of life is undertaken by our soul atman and not the human form. As the fruits of karma performed belonged to our soul atman... the goal also must be dictated by our soul atman. Traveling the path of absolute truthfulness... listening to the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman... I chose the path of my life. Searching for God in this very life... I finally realized my goal... reached the stage of self realization in 1993!

Most human beings in life travel the path of religion... ritually going to a temple... praying to God all the time. If God Almighty could be found in this manner... the whole mankind would be found wanting all the time... indulging in rituals and what not! To search for God Almighty one needs traveling the spiritual path and not the path of religion.

Every single religion stems from the following of an enlightened master. When Buddha came... his following was termed Buddhism. The following of Jesus Christ was termed Christianity! The following of Mahavira was never termed Mahavirism! Why? Jainism is not a religion... it is a way of life! One who wins himself... one who realizes his true inner self becomes a true Jina!

The path of religion is necessitated to pass the ephemeral life in a meaningful manner. maryada Purushottam Rama is the epitome of religious life. In the physical manifest life... in the life span of 70 to 80 years... the role of maryada Purushottam Rama is the highest manifest stage individual human beings can reach in the physical form!

To dwell in the inner confines of our soul atman... to unravel the mystique of Bhagavad Gita... the wisdom contained in the 700 shlokas (verses)... one needs traveling the spiritual path! The path to god realization... how to reach the stage of self realization... the path of spirituality... the path of our soul atman... all is detailed in various essays on my website.

The reading of essays on my website must never be literal. One would get nothing out of it! Reading the essays again and again... assimilating the wisdom contained therein... all human beings can reach the stage of enlightenment and finally salvation. The hidden clues would unfold slowly only to the serious seeker of spirituality.

At this stage I would advise you giving more time and depth to various essays on my website... slowly the inner meanings would unfurl before you! For traveling the spiritual path... following the path of Lord Krishna... understanding the doctrine of Bhagavad Gita given to mankind in the battle Mahabharata by Lord Krishna is necessitated.

For crossing the world of Samsara (ephemeral life)... life of 8.4 million manifestations by the soul atman within one needs assimilating the wisdom contained in Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism by Lord Krishna. For living physical manifest life of 70 to 80 years... the teachings of Ramayana suffice. Both these epics of Hinduism... Ramayana and Mahabharata are unique in themselves! One catering to the physical manifest life... other to the inner domain... the real self of us!

Both the epics... Ramayana and Mahabharata have different role to play! For reaching God Almighty... the path of jnana wisdom... is necessitated! Our soul atman within is truly a spirit... a cosmic energy... God Almighty in minuscule form! Facilitating our soul atman in gaining liberation from the cycle of birth and death forever is the goal of every human life!

Manifestation after manifestation, body after body... the goal of life for the soul atman remains fixed; reaching the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! When human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)... the circle of life for the soul atman within completes in all respects.

This liberated soul atman finally finds a place in the kingdom of God (aka Vaikunth in Hinduism). From the first manifestation to the last... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the goal of life for our soul atman... the spirit within... is regaining its lost original pure pristine form! It is only in human form the soul atman reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation!

Whether we travel the spiritual path now or leave it for the future manifestations... is purely dependent upon the individual human being! Who knows what we shall be in the next manifestation... why not travel the spiritual path now!

Traveling the spiritual path has its perils. Treading the uncharted spiritual territory is not everyone's job. Gaining control of the five senses... and the mind... one finally crosses the ocean of Samsara (worldly life). Practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation is an absolute must.

Only then... only by practice of absolute celibacy can one awaken the Kundalini Shakti... never otherwise! The moment Kundalini Shakti rises to the top... the Shahastra Pushpa (the thousands petalled Lotus) existing in our brain behind the forehead opens fully. One finally gains omniscience forever! The brain becomes hundred percent active.

Most human beings in life barely use more than 1% capacity of the brain. Albert Einstein the famous physicist used his brain 4%. Human beings who reach the stage of self realization enlightenment use their brain hundred percent! Our soul atman having gained absolute purity... the need to manifest karma... the need to manifest a body ceased to exist!

Primarily... every human being is ignorant! As the ignorance within us removes by treading the path of jnana wisdom... one speeds up the spiritual travel! In whatever stage of manifest life human beings be... all can reach the 8.4 millionth manifestation in present life. In the field of spirituality following the path of absolute celibacy... one can take a quantum jump... reach the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation. It is possible!

In whatever stage of manifest life I may have been (between karma index of 7.300001 and 8.400000... I finally reached the level 8.400000 in present life! This is my last life... the whole world has become my family. I am no further a Jain. All religions having become one for me... it is difficult for me to distinguish my parents from other mothers and fathers... my brothers and sisters from other brothers and sisters... one finally and practically loses the ego forever!

Gautama Buddha tried gaining the jnana wisdom while living in the family... he failed! Even while living in the confines of deep dense forests (jungles) he failed to gained wisdom jnana. Finally Gautama Buddha advocated taking the middle path... the teachings of Buddhism are primarily termed as the noble eightfold path of Buddhism!

In the history of mankind till date only two ladies gained enlightenment... Gargi and Maitreyi in whose memory the famous Gargi and Maitreyi colleges in New Delhi, India exist! Gargi was the famous philosopher who excelled on the topic of sex. Maitreyi was the second wife of sage Jnanavalakya... the compiler and composer of Brihadaranakya Upanishad.

Both these ladies... Gargi and Maitreyi at the end of their physical manifest life gained enlightenment and finally salvation. They gained Brahma jnana... the ultimate knowledge... the final wisdom knowing which one finally crossed the ocean of Samsara (worldly life). Practicing absolute celibacy for a lady is really difficult... not impossible!

In the she form... gaining enlightenment is very difficult... yet not impossible! The deeply imbibed feeling of Moha (deep emotional attachment) debars ladies from gaining enlightenment. This deep rooted Moha practically prohibits ladies to indulge on the spiritual path. It is this feeling of Moha that keeps the society bonded together.

If the deeply imbibed feeling of Moha did not exist in women... there would never have been anything like a family! To maintain the community of the cosmic system... to maintain continuity of life, God inbuilt into every woman a feeling of Moha... deep emotional attachment to keep things under wraps!

If we desire materialistic riches... if we enjoy the pleasures of the ephemeral world... we need traveling the path of religion not Spirituality! If we desire diving deep into the bottomless pit of jnana wisdom we need assimilate the teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita. The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes the knower of all... gains omniscience forever!

Various essays on my following websites would provide a greater insight!

God bless you!
